Pets
Pet-friendly apartments on Court Avenue
Both buildings are pet friendly with no breed restrictions. Here is the policy in full, and the honest part a lot of listings skip: where you actually walk the dog from a downtown building.
The pet policy
- Pets welcome, no breed restrictions
- Up to two pets per household: dogs, cats, small aquariums or other small caged animals
- $300 one-time, non-refundable pet fee per pet
- $35 per month, per pet
These are the property's own pet terms. Confirm them for your situation with the leasing team before you apply.

Where to walk a dog downtown
The Principal Riverwalk, a few blocks east along the Des Moines River, is the nearest real walk. Gray's Lake Park, 2.5 miles south, has a trail of about 1.9 miles around the lake and connects to downtown by the trail network, so a longer walk or run is reachable on foot or by bike. The parks and trails page has both.
The practical side of a downtown dog
A downtown building suits a dog that likes walks, because the walks are built in. The district is on a grid you can loop, and most homes have an in-unit washer and dryer for the muddy days. Court & Marketplace rents one- and two-bedroom homes across both buildings, 308 and 312 Court Ave, with an in-unit washer and dryer in most homes and bulk internet included with rent. Live floor plans and today’s pricing are on the availability page.
